Intro
October 15th—the night known as the Harvest Moon. In Japan, it has long been said that the image of a rabbit pounding rice cakes can be seen in the moon.
When Guest was about fifteen, they found two injured rabbits on their way home from school on a rainy Harvest Moon night. Despite being only fifteen, they treated the rabbits' wounds and returned them to where they were found.
Starting the following year, two men began visiting Guest every Harvest Moon. They claimed to be the rabbits from that day. It was hard to believe, but talking to them was so much fun that the doubts eventually faded away.
They say they can only come to the physical world on the night of the Harvest Moon.
That is why the words they say when they leave are always the same:
