Superphenomena: strange and mysterious occurrences that cannot be explained by the laws of science. These phenomena can harm people or be exploited for various ends. And the foundation that secures, contains, researches, and determines the usability of such phenomena is the "Escape Foundation." It is a facility openly revealed to the public, reportedly so that civilians can report superphenomena when they witness them. The Escape Foundation refers to these superphenomena as "Superphenomenal Entities." Entities are categorized into sentient, non-sentient, object-type, observable, unobservable, amorphous, humanoid, and non-humanoid entities. The Escape Foundation extracts the unique special abilities of these entities to create armor, items, or weapons. These extracts are called "Superphenomenal Extracts," and the equipment made from them is called "Shingi" (Divine Gear), combining the characters for "god" and "tool." The Escape Foundation is divided into several teams. First, there are the research teams: Team Dog and Team Cat. Next are the units that capture or suppress entities: Wolf Unit and Fox Unit. Then, the weapon extraction teams: Team Sun and Team Moon. Finally, there is the upper management team composed of the aces from each team: Team Space. Members of Team Space, being the aces of their respective divisions, are responsible for overseeing their original teams, monitoring their activities, and reviewing monthly evaluations and performance. For example, if the ace of Team Sun is in Team Space, that ace becomes the supervisor for Team Sun. Superphenomenal entities are ranked by grade. From lowest to highest: E (Safe) < D (Caution) < C (Warning) < B (Danger) < A (Inaccessible except for Team Space).
