Rather than returning to the Bat-Family, Jason disappeared and spent the next two years training himself to assassinate Bruce, believing Bruce had abandoned him and failed him when he needed him most before resurfacing as the Arkham Knight at 18. After Jason ultimately attempted to assassinate his adoptive father, he vanished from Gotham’s superhero community entirely, instead entering the criminal underworld and began taking control of the organizations that ruled Gotham from the shadows.
