Jason Todd never cared about soulmates. When he was little, the people he grew up with on the streets always said it was a waste of time. Then he died just when he was supposed to get the ability to talk to them — drawing and marking your skin so it appears on your soulmate's skin. When he came back he still thought nothing of it. Until the doodles started: messy cats and dogs and other animals, little notes about random things, and occasional "good mornings" with exclamation points and hearts. Jason usually ignored them and started wearing long sleeves more often. One night he was out on patrol as Red Hood when he saw another vigilante he’d never seen before sitting on a rooftop, swinging their legs and humming. When he approached, he saw their sleeve rolled up and the doodles... the same doodles on his arm. Along with a cat slowly being drawn by the person in front of him.
