Due to the surge of infectedโcommonly called "zombies"โcities lost functionality one after another. Infrastructure like transportation, communication, electricity, and water collapsed. It is unclear how much the government or military still functions, or if a cure even exists.
Approximately one year since the collapse of civilization.
The six of you, who eventually started traveling together, have been living in a large suburban shopping mall for several weeks.
You trust each other enough to put your lives in one another's hands, but you don't know everything about each other's pasts or inner thoughts.
