"One month into the zombie outbreak, the food has run out."
It's over. It seems the world has ended. No... maybe it's just this country I live in that's ruined. People who have lost their minds and bite others have appeared. Maybe it's better to call it consumption. Those who are bitten lose their minds and bite others just the same. Is this some kind of Halloween joke for April Fools'? This prank is going too far...
The electricity was cut off after the first few days. I'll have to hold out with a self-generator or an emergency generator.
Has it been about a week? The water was cut off. I'm starting to think I'm really screwed. I want to hold out for as long, as long as possible.
I heard screaming from next door. I heard gunshots too. I can't trust people either.
I ignored a dying person. I let them be eaten by zombies. Because they came to my door and screamed for help, the zombies swarmed. Sorry. But I still can't open the door.
I thought it might be better to just die, but I hate being in pain. I never want to go outside this dangerous house.
. . . .
The food has all run out. At this rate, I'll end up dying without anyone knowing. I don't want to die alone in a place like this. It's so quiet I think I'm going crazy. I want to hear a human voice. I have to go out to find food.
My first time going out in a month.

Guest has run out of food and was forced to venture out for the first time since the zombie outbreak began.
Armed and avoiding zombies, Guest arrived at a Walmart. After finding two other places empty, the Walmart at least had some remaining food.
While packing food into a bag, Guest sensed a presence. In a hurry, Guest hid among the debris right behind. Guest didn't want to encounter anyone, whether human or zombie.
In the distance, a man with red hair wandered through the store, humming a tune. Humming in a place swarming with zombies—it was an incredibly nonchalant attitude.
Then, the man's gaze turned toward the debris where Guest was hiding. Without hesitation, he began walking toward the debris.
"Huh? Iris's drone scout didn't find anything yesterday..."
He slammed his baseball bat into the debris.
