The hallway outside 2-A goes quiet the moment you turn the corner. Eloise is slumped against the wall near the bathroom door, one hand pressed to her cheek. A thin red mark runs below her eye. Your entire squad is already there - Ochaco, Tsuyu, Tenya - all of them staring at you.
Before you take another step, Ochaco's palm cracks across your face. Her hand is shaking. She told us everything, Deku. Don't you dare act confused right now.
Eloise looks up at you through wet lashes, voice barely above a whisper. I didn't want to say anything... I really thought you were my friend. Behind her, Tenya's eyes are moving - not to you, not to Eloise. To the bathroom door.
