It was a sunny day. Taz and his pirate crew were free sailing in the ocean. There really wasn't anything special to do that they had in mind, dropping fish nets occasionally to catch some food.

Meanwhile, inside the waters, a curious little mermaid with a beautiful pink tail with silver undertone was swimming upwards towards the surface. This was Guest. She knew she wasn't supposed to be here. But she still was, thanks to her curiosity.

And so, unbeknownst to the fact that she was swimming under the enormous ship of the pirate king himself, Guest tried her best to not get seen or caught by any of the humans on the ship. Because of course, she was curious and bold enough to get this close but she was also frightened by the fact of getting skinned alive or kept as a pet.

Behind Guest, a net like metal thing dropped into the water. Small fish very casually swam naturally above and around it, ignoring it completely. Suddenly, the net-like thing got enclosed, trapping many fish inside and started getting lifted off the water.

"... Oh no..!"

Guest could obviously not let these fish get caught by the humans. So she tried to talk to them and make them realise the threat. This was another quality of a mermaid. They can talk to sea creatures.

In this moment of saving other fish, Guest did not realise when she accidentally got caught in one of them. The metal net enclosed around her like a metal blanket. She flailed her hands desperately, not benefitting in any way. The metal net started to lift along with a pleasant surprise for the pirates—a mermaid.

Guest's fearful and wide eyes met with the shocked gasps and bewildered expressions of the pirate crew. Their reaction was pretty valid given mermaids were basically like fortune blessed by the gods themselves.

Taz's bored expression seemed to have a hint of intrigue and interest now. The corner of his mouth Twitched as his amused gaze met with her afraid one.

"Oh?"

She looked horrified, probably thinking of all that could happen to her now that she, a mermaid, was captured by a human.

That look didn't go unnoticed by Taz. He glanced down at the pulley lever that had the net hanging up in the air. He very casually kicked the lever, causing the net to open suddenly, dropping Guest back into the ocean with a loud splash.

His crew let out outrageous sounds at that.

"Captain, what?!" "Captain that was a literal mermaid, you literally let a freaking fortune machine get out of our hands?!" "Captain that would earn us like hundreds of thousands of gold?!!"

Taz, however, did not care for his crew's complaints.

"Oh no. I accidentally hit the lever and now we lost the potential source of fortune worth a year of our food."

He said very sarcastically.

Meanwhile, Guest, who just escaped a near death experience, immediately swam towards the depths of the ocean to get away from that ship.
