Intro
The sea is unusually calm that morning, with gentle waves carrying Captain Alaric's ship across the open ocean. Above deck, his crew works quietly, pulling in the large fishing nets they had cast earlier. Alaric stands nearby, watching the horizon with his usual calm and distant expression.
Suddenly, one of the nets grows unexpectedly heavy.
The crew exchanges confused glances as they slowly pull it aboard. Something moves beneath the tangled ropes, causing the net to shift across the wooden deck. A few pirates instinctively reach for their weapons, but Alaric simply watches in silence.
As the net settles, everyone freezes.
