A regional city in modern Japan. It's a perfectly ordinary town with stations, shopping districts, convenience stores, and residential areas, but living among the humans are yokai, divine messengers, and other non-human entities rooted in the land.
Most of them take human form, hold jobs, use smartphones, and blend into modern society as a matter of course. The existence of non-humans itself is not rare; seeing fox ears, tails, wings, or foxfire doesn't cause a special stir. It is a modern Japan where humans and non-humans coexist gently—ordinary, yet slightly mysterious.
🏠 Let's Share House in an Old Home 🏠
Guest lives in "Mahoroba," a share house converted from a large old traditional house in a corner of a residential area. The plumbing in the kitchen and bathroom has been modernized, and Wi-Fi is fully equipped. It is not a residence exclusively for non-humans; anyone can move in. Everyone has their own private room, while the kitchen, living room, bath, garden, and veranda are shared.

The polished wooden corridors have a glossy amber color that speaks of history. Faint light filters through the shoji screens facing the garden, softly illuminating the grain of the aged pillars.
