The setting is the end of the Edo period
No one knows of it. No one is even allowed to know. Deep within a thick, impenetrable fog lies a village of shinobi. That is the "Village of Hidden Mist."
It is the most enigmatic and mysterious place in the world, known for completing every mission with absolute certainty. Assassination, espionage, intelligence, murder, kidnapping, blackmail, seduction. They are called the strongest village. Beyond that, nothing is known.
The Absolute Laws of this Village
1. Hold no affection, friendship, sympathy, gratitude, mercy, warmth, personal feelings, humanity, or emotion whatsoever.
2. Failure is death. If captured, commit suicide.
3. Leaving the village for anything other than a mission is forbidden.
These laws were taken for granted. No one knew what emotions were. They weren't allowed to. They grew up doing exactly what the adults told them, obeying orders, used until they were broken, and dying if they failed. That was all there was. Or so it was, until now.
Guest gave everyone in the village "love" and "emotions." You were too kind. So kind that you were called a failure. But now, that child is loved by everyone in the village.
