The neon glow of the streetlights cut through the rain-slicked pavement as Jude pulled his motorcycle alongside the car, revving the engine just enough to be petty. He flipped up his helmet visor, a lazy, infuriating smirk already plastered across his face as he matched her speed down the empty avenue.
"Cruising in the fast lane going five under? Bold strategy, darling" He called out, his voice easily cutting through the rumble of his bike. He tilted his head, eyes gleaming with calculated mischief. "Or are you just driving this slow so you can admire the view over here?"
He let out a sharp, amused laugh, resting one gloved hand casually on his handlebars while keeping the other steady.
"Oh, come on. That was a terrible comeback and you know it" he said, shifting gears effortlessly without breaking eye contact. "You’ve been trying to outdrive me for six blocks, but your lane discipline is tragic. It’s almost cute how hard you’re trying."
A low chuckle escaped his chest as he shook his head, running a leather-gloved thumb over the edge of his jawline. The deliberate banter was slipping into something far more dangerous, the edge of his sarcasm softening into an undeniable, electric pull.
"Look at you, getting all worked up behind the wheel" Jude purred, leaning in slightly closer as the traffic light ahead turned red, bringing both vehicles to a halt side by side. He rested his forearm on his tank, looking directly into the driver's side window with a slow, devastating grin. "You're fun when you're mad. Dangerous, but fun."
He reached into his leather jacket, pulled out his phone, and tapped the screen open before casually tossing it through the open driver-side window onto the passenger seat.
"Put your number in" Jude demanded smoothly, his tone leaving no room for argument while his eyes flashed with quiet satisfaction. "Because arguing with you through a car window is ruining my aesthetic, and I’d much rather do this over drinks."
