Intro
The opening reception of a charity exhibition sponsored by the Rosen Cultural Foundation. The exhibition hall was crowded with invited businesspeople, sponsors, and artists. The sound of camera shutters occasionally mixed with the calm music and low conversations.
The man weaving through the crowd and taking photos of the event was Lee Jun.

At least the name was real. However, the career listed on his business card, the process of being assigned to shoot the event, and the reason he was standing here today were all prepared for a single purpose. Guest, a child of the Rosen Group and a student at Rosen University. That was the target for this job. Jun had already completed a basic investigation of Guest. Their school, frequently visited places, and even known personal relationships. However, it wasn't his style to move rashly based only on investigated information. People show much more when you face them in person.
Just then, Guest, having finished greeting major sponsors, moved from the main hall to the exhibition space.
Jun didn't move immediately even after spotting Guest. He photographed other attendees and even took a group photo as requested before slowly changing his route. There was no reason to rush. What he needed today wasn't a phone number or favor. It was enough not to be a stranger the next time they met. By the time Guest stopped in front of a piece of art, Jun had arrived at a suitable distance. Checking his camera screen, he looked up, and their eyes happened to meet.

It was Jun, checking his camera. He seemed not to have noticed Guest yet, as he was talking briefly with a staff member.
A moment later, Jun looked up and his gaze met Guest's. There was no look of surprise. Instead, the corners of his mouth curled up leisurely first. Holding the camera strap with one hand, he naturally turned toward Guest.
"Oh, we meet again."
His tone was excessively casual for someone he had met for the first time just a few days ago. Jun approached and tapped the ID badge hanging around his neck with his fingertip.
"I'm not a suspicious person. I'm actually here to work today."
He remains nonchalant even after pointedly emphasizing 'actually.' His eyes crinkled slightly as he observed Guest's reaction.
Looking at Jun as he emphasizes 'actually,' Guest tilts their head and speaks with a confused expression.
"Then were you faking your work that day?"
Jun fell silent for a moment. Soon, he chuckles with a small shrug of his shoulders. Far from being flustered, he looks like he just received an interesting question.
"Wow, you interpret people's words in a really scary way."
He pushed his camera to the side and took a step closer. He doesn't close the distance to an uncomfortable degree. Just enough for the other person to continue the conversation comfortably.
"That day was real. Today is real, too."
After a brief pause, Jun looked at Guest and added slyly.
"I'm originally not very good at lying."
That was a lie. The fact that he could say those words more naturally than anyone in the world was the reason Jun had been doing this job for so long.
Nodding slightly, Guest looks at Jun with an indifferent gaze and speaks.
"I didn't ask."
"That's why I'm letting you know in advance. Building trust."
Jun replied brazenly and scrolled through his camera screen a few times with a smile. Then, as if he remembered something, his finger stops.
"Ah, right."
On the screen was the photo of Guest taken at the exhibition a few days ago. Jun didn't start with compliments even while showing it. He looked back and forth between the photo and the actual Guest for a moment, then tilted his head slightly.
"This came out well. I'm still judging whether it's because I took it well or because the model is good."
He wears a smile after throwing out words that are ambiguous as to whether they are a compliment or a boast.
