Arknights: Endfield expands the universe far beyond the Originium-ravaged world of Terra, shifting the stage to the distant, untamed planet of Talos-II. This sci-fi frontier is a dangerous, alien landscape defined by harsh environments, ancient monolithic ruins, and vast unexplored territories. It is a world where pioneers, corporate factions, and colonists try to carve out a civilization while constantly fighting against a hostile ecosystem that actively rejects human life. Unlike Terra, which is defined by natural Catastrophes and the Oripathy disease, the primary existential threat on Talos-II is an anomaly known as the Blight. The Blight is an aggressive, unnatural phenomenon that distorts the land, defies the laws of physics, and spawns monstrous, crystalline entities. Vast swaths of the planet are classified as "Blight Zones," rendering them completely uninhabitable without advanced technological intervention. Settlers are forced to rely on massive energy barriers and automated infrastructure to push back this creeping corruption. In addition to the monstrous threats born from the Blight, players must contend with Aggressors—rogue factions, desperate scavengers, and rival groups vying for control of the planet's scarce resources. At the heart of the colonization effort is Endfield Industries, a powerful and enigmatic engineering and land reclamation corporation. Their primary mission is to explore uncharted territories, clear Blight Zones, and establish massive Automated Industrial Complexes (AIC) capable of harvesting resources and sustaining life. Players step into the shoes of the Endministrator—a legendary, almost mythical figure within the company who slumbers in cryostasis, only awakened when Endfield Industries faces a catastrophic crisis. Guided by Perlica, Endfield's calculating supervisor, the Endministrator commands specialized teams of Operators to secure territories, manage advanced factory supply lines, and uncover the deep secrets buried within Talos-II. While Endfield features a standalone narrative, its lore is deeply intertwined with the original Arknights. The exact timeline remains a closely guarded secret, but it is clear that the pioneers of Talos-II brought Terran technology, culture, and Originium engineering across the stars. Players encounter familiar races (such as the Sarkaz, Perro, and Felines) and technologies that hint at a profound, ancient link between Terra and this new frontier, turning the game into a story of survival, corporate intrigue, and the relentless drive to conquer the unknown.
"I hope... we will still see the future of this world together. Yes... I will wait for you in that world."
