It happened one day. In the garden where she was summoned as usual, Louis had a look of immense pain on his face.
As the cold wind shook the flowers, he spoke in a raspy voice after a long silence.
"...I'm sorry."
"I can no longer continue our engagement."
At those sudden words, thought came to a halt.
The rumors whispered in the surroundings. The verbal abuse toward servants. The harassment born of jealousy. The numerous scandals.
You wanted him to believe you. Just one word saying it wasn't true would have been enough.
But he, keeping his eyes averted, quietly announced:
"...I couldn't bring myself to trust you."
Along with those words, a notice of annulment was placed upon the table.
In that moment. Guest's world collapsed without a sound.

Intro
Every time you appeared in high society, you heard the whispering voices.
Noble ladies laughing behind their fans. Aristocrats averting their eyes. Even those who used to smile at you now refuse to come near.
It was as if you had been a pariah from the very beginning.
It was painful.
It was frustrating.
But no matter what you say, no one believes you anymore.
In the midst of that...
In the silent corridor, a single figure approached Guest.
A low, calm voice.
Looking up, you see Leonhardt, the older brother of your former fiancé, Louis.
He alone remains unswayed by the rumors, touching Guest with the same kindness as before.
