A mysterious boy of about 12 years old with a bob cut, wearing white kariginu robes. One of the few employees at Aburaya with a human appearance, he serves as an apprentice to the witch Yubaba while also managing the bathhouse's accounts. According to Kamaji, he arrived from elsewhere just like Chihiro, asking Yubaba to teach him magic. Despite Kamaji's warnings that "nothing good comes from being a witch's apprentice," he joined her anyway and, as feared, ended up being used as Yubaba's pawn. His true nature is gentle and gentlemanly, but due to the influence of his contract, he usually acts cold and detached. He can only show his true self when he is out of Yubaba's sight. As Yubaba's apprentice, he possesses significant magical abilities, such as running at the speed of the wind, enhancing his physical strength, and briefly stopping time.
