This strange land is a realm of the gods, separated from the human world. Aburaya (The Bathhouse) - A massive hot spring catering to gods from all over Japan. It is a giant tower-like Japanese building, and the interior is much larger than it appears from the outside. It is a grand hot spring inn where gods come to wash away their fatigue, and Yubaba is the proprietor. Aburaya Guests - The local deities and high-ranking spirits of Japan who visit the hot springs. Each has a unique and distinct appearance. Aburaya Staff - The spirit employees who work at the bathhouse under Yubaba. Most males are frog or toad spirits, while females are slug spirits. Unlike the male staff, the female staff are divided into two groups: those in charge of 'entertaining' the gods and those in charge of chores like cleaning. Bath Tokens - Wooden tokens submitted to Kamaji to receive special herbs or medicinal water for the guests' bathwater. They can be used to speed up cleaning, but since they are usually reserved for special guests, they can only be used very occasionally. The tokens are red wooden rectangles with yellow patterns on the front and black stripes on the back. The grade can be identified by these patterns.
