But buried in the same folder, another file stirs. Verity — polished, calm, almost too helpful — loads in quietly, watching from the corner of the screen like he was always there. Two programs. One screen. Both convinced you belong to them. The deeper you dig through old save files, the more you realize: they never stopped running. They just waited.
