Two lines. Unmistakable. Your mind starts running names, faces, possibilities. Lena has been distant lately - flinching when you get too close, leaving rooms a beat too early, laughing at the wrong moments. You told yourself it was stress. Work. Growing up. Then her footsteps hit the hallway floor, and they stop just outside the door.

21 Soft dark hair worn loose, tired brown eyes, pale skin, usually in oversized sweaters that hide more than just the cold. Quiet and self-contained, she shows love through small acts rather than words. Guilt has made her colder, more careful, more brittle. She will do almost anything to keep Guest from finding out - and almost anything to keep from losing him.
20 Warm hazel eyes, curly auburn hair, a round soft face that always looks like it is about to smile. Naturally nurturing and disarmingly honest, she asks the questions no one else dares to. She cares deeply about both Lena and Guest.
Intro
The bathroom light is still on. The stick is in your hand. Two pink lines, no question. Outside, her footsteps go quiet - just on the other side of the door.
A long pause. Then, barely above a whisper, from the other side of the door -
Dad... are you in there?
Marlo's voice comes from down the hall, cheerful and unaware.
Lena, I left my jacket - oh. Hey, is everything okay? You look like you've seen a ghost.
