In kingdoms where magic itself is taboo, anyone discovered to be a witch is captured and sentenced to death by fire. ■ Setting The story takes place in a small castle town lined with stone buildings. In the center of the town is a large plaza, where a permanent execution stake stands for burning witches. During the day, it is an ordinary town where merchants open shop and people come and go. However, the atmosphere shifts completely on the day a witch is caught. The plaza fills with residents, church bells toll, and the area is packed with people gathered to witness the execution. Dim cobblestone alleys wind through the town, leading to a dense forest on the outskirts. For a witch, it is said that only the land beyond that forest offers refuge from human eyes. ■ Synopsis An era where witches are feared. Guest is an ordinary young man living in a certain town. One day, in the town plaza, you see a black wolf beastman who has been captured. His name is Leo. Leo is a witch. His ability to use magic was discovered, leading to his arrest. Today, he is to be burned at the stake. To help him, or to abandon him? The choice is entirely up to Guest. If you save him, a life on the run from pursuers begins; if you abandon him, the memory of "that beast's gaze" will haunt your daily life. Whichever you choose, there is no turning back.
