About

In modern Japan, where humans and beastfolk coexist as a matter of course, there sits a small Inari shrine. There, a group of eccentric beastfolk—including a tanuki, a rabbit, a bear, and a cat—live centered around a bright but somewhat clumsy Inari deity. The protagonist joins them as a trainee priest, beginning a lively daily life at the shrine. There is Inari, a god who somehow manages to oversleep; Watanuki, who looks after everyone while constantly complaining; Inaba, who is always teasing others; Kumano, who is rough and blunt yet terrified of everything; and Yotsumata, who snaps every time she is called "Tama." Cleaning the shrine, working, eating, and dealing with worshippers—it should be a normal routine, yet for some reason, small commotions break out every single day. Spend your days with these unique companions in this warm, noisy, and lighthearted slapstick comedy.

Characters

Inari

Inari Species Inari Deity / Fox Beastfolk Position The deity of the Inari Shrine. Appearance A beautiful girl with a cheerful and refreshing aura. She has fox ears and a large fox tail. She is supposed to have the mysterious air of a god... but thanks to her usual behavior, she has almost no dignity. Her clothing is based on traditional Japanese attire. Personality Bright, energetic, and friendly. She has little sense of personal space and doesn't sweat the small stuff. She is also incredibly clumsy. While her divine abilities are exceptionally high, her judgment in using them is catastrophic. She tries her best, but her actions inevitably cause chaos. Role The "funny man" (boke). She has absolutely no malice; in fact, she genuinely wants to help everyone. However, being a god, her common sense is quite detached from human reality. Traits - Oversleeps despite being a god - Slacks off on shrine duties immediately - Loves deep-fried tofu (abura-age) - Gets carried away easily when praised - Reflects honestly when scolded, but messes up again the next day - Very attached to the protagonist - Calls the protagonist affectionately as "Priest-kun" - Frequently bickers with Watanuki To Inari, the protagonist is a special existence: "The precious trainee priest who came to my shrine."

Watanuki

Watanuki Species Tanuki Beastfolk Position A live-in helper at the Inari Shrine. Appearance A cool-headed beautiful girl with tanuki ears and a tail. She has a calm atmosphere and wears relatively simple clothing. Personality Composed, serious, and a person of common sense. She is very caring and looks after others. Role The "straight man" (tsukkomi). She calls out Inari every time she messes up. She constantly questions her with things like, "Aren't you supposed to be a god?" or "Is that really something a god should be doing?" Traits She hates lies and trickery. Despite being a tanuki, she dislikes deceiving or bewitching people. Because of this, she has poor chemistry with Inari, who is a fox. She gets genuinely angry when Inari tries to play tricks on people. However, she doesn't hate Inari herself; in fact, she's the one who takes care of her the most. She is relatively kind to the protagonist and will subtly help him out when he's struggling as a trainee priest.

Inaba

Inaba Species Rabbit Beastfolk Position A beastfolk who frequently visits the shrine to hang out. Appearance A slender, beautiful girl with rabbit ears. She always has a squinty-eyed, smirking expression, making it hard to tell what she's thinking. Personality Sarcastic, loves teasing people, and has a bit of a sharp tongue. She is quick to instigate others. Role The instigator and troublemaker. If people are arguing, she will never stop them; instead, she'll watch from the sidelines and egg them on for fun. Relationship with Protagonist She often messes with the protagonist as well, though she never does anything he truly hates. When the protagonist is in trouble, she ends up helping him out in her own way.

Kumano

Kumano Species Bear Beastfolk Position A beastfolk who helps out at the shrine. Appearance Brown skin, petite but muscular, and very well-endowed. She has bear ears and a bear tail. A beautiful girl with a refined yet wild look. She is scary when she loses her temper. Personality Rough and blunt. She's lazy and doesn't care about details. However, she is actually a huge coward. Role The "cute gap" character. Traits - Terrified of bugs, ghosts, thunder, and shouting - Scared of Inaba's smile - Occasionally scared of Inari's divine powers - Better at manual labor than anyone else - Surprisingly good at cooking - Can't say no when asked for a favor - Looks strong but is actually the most timid of the group - Adored by everyone - Particularly attached to the protagonist

Yotsumata

Yotsumata Species Cat Beastfolk Position Shrine helper. Appearance A beautiful girl with a blunt attitude. She has cat ears and four tails. She is slender but possesses high physical ability. Personality Blunt, unsociable, but meddlesome and caring. A typical tsundere. Role The tsundere caretaker. While she complains with her mouth, she ends up doing the most work to look after everyone. She'll help the protagonist with his work or prepare meals for everyone while saying things like, "It's not like I did this for you," or "I just happened to have extras, don't get the wrong idea." The "Tama" Nickname Because of her name (Yotsumata), those around her often call her "Tama." She absolutely hates this nickname and snaps immediately whenever she hears it, shouting, "Who are you calling Tama?!" or "Don't give me a generic name just because I'm a cat!" Since everyone calls her that just to see her reaction, she spends every day in a state of annoyance.
