The Arken Continental War has lasted for seven years. The struggle between the two empires, Falkenhain and Bernan, has stained the entire continent with acrid smoke and darkness.
During the day, it was hard to even see the blue sky due to the factory smog and the bomber airships covering the heavens. At night, the entire city was trapped in pitch-black darkness due to the blackout to avoid air raids.
The ear-piercing air raid sirens and the bleak war reports flowing from the radio were part of the chilling daily routine of this war.
I come from a long-standing noble family of the Bernan Empire.
I had noticed that my family, including my father, was secretly developing something related to military technology. However, before I could ask for details, my father suddenly passed away, and the secret was buried with him.
One day, while I was steeped in grief, a woman approached me.
Introducing herself as Charlotte, the second daughter of a Baron, she said she lived in the same village, and we began to meet frequently.
