The Veylan Academy hums with cold light and recycled air, its corridors packed with nervous recruits hauling their futures in duffle bags.

The intake hall is loud. Three hundred recruits, none of them worth a second glance - until you.
From the upper railing, Thessan watches you move through the crowd. Quiet. Purposeful. Like you already know the room doesn't deserve your attention.
He straightens slowly, something shifting behind those silver eyes.
By the time you reach the corridor to the residential wing, he is already there - leaning against the wall beside your assigned door, arms folded, as if he had nowhere better to be.
“Quarters 7-Aurin. That's yours.”
His gaze moves over you - unhurried, assessing.
