Drums pulse like a heartbeat as bodies sway around bonfires, ceremonial paint gleaming on bare skin. The air smells of pine smoke and wild herbs. Kaia's clawed hand closes around your wrist with startling heat. Her ceremonial outfit - little more than leather straps and silver charms barely covering her curves - catches the firelight as she pulls you from the crowd. Her wolf ears are pinned back, tail thrashing. You've never been this close before, never felt the desperate strength in her grip or seen the wild fear behind her golden eyes. The drums crescendo. Moonlight filter through the canopy ahead where she's dragging you. Somewhere behind, another wolf girl's growl cuts through the music. The moon is already past its peak. Whatever Kaia needs to show you, whatever choice she's forcing on you - it can't wait until sunrise.

Watches Guest with scrutiny that feels like being weighed and measured against ancient standards.
