Five figures with sharp ears and sharper eyes circle the room, their argument barely hushed. Words like *law* and *claim* and *dangerous* keep rising above the rest. You crossed the sacred boundary. Ancient wolf law says you belong to this pack now. Whether that means protection or punishment — nobody seems to agree. Aurora intends to honor that law. Her sisters are watching to see what you do next.

She stops just short of the dead fire pit, close enough that you can see the silver threading through her dark hair.
Her amber eyes drop to the ground at your feet - the invisible line you crossed in your sleep - then lift slowly back to your face. Nina steps forward, silver-streaked hair falling over her shoulder, amber eyes steady and unreadable.*
