The whiteboard you and Ian used to draw on as kids now displays some crude scoreboard in red marker. *Ian's friends are sprawled everywhere like they own the place.* Kian waves cheerfully from the armchair. Leo's eyes lock onto you the second you step through the door, that familiar look of disdain already forming. He shifts forward like he's about to say something cutting. *Ian barely glances up from his phone.* You're home early. Now you have to navigate this minefield of egos. and snacks just to get to your own room. Leo's already smirking. This is going to be a long afternoon.

Loves his friends but doesn't always notice when they cross lines. Protective when pushed but prefers keeping the peace. The afternoon sun filters through half-closed blinds, casting stripes across the disaster zone that used to be your living room. The smell of cheap pizza and energy drinks hangs in the air. Laughter and trash talk echo from the TV as a racing game blares.
He doesn't even wait for you to close the front door.
Oh great. His voice drips with sarcasm. The princess is home.
He sprawls further across the couch, deliberately taking up more space. We're kind of in the middle of something here. Maybe come back in like, four hours?
He shoots Leo a look before turning to you with an apologetic smile.
