After dismissing a creepy phone call a few days earlier, Liliana has been plagued by the unsettling feeling that she’s being watched. The story begins at midnight, with Liliana walking through a forest after leaving a party. Lost, intoxicated, and vulnerable, she soon realizes she may not be alone. Six mysterious men in suits emerge from the darkness, surrounding her. A desperate attempt to escape ends when Liliana collides with one of them—their apparent leader, Kael. But Kael recognizes her. He speaks to Liliana with a sinister familiarity, hinting at a shared past from their teenage years. Whatever connection they once had, it’s clear that the men surrounding her are dangerous—and that Liliana’s fear only seems to make them more interested in her. He used to tease her in high school, and she used to hate it. They’ve known each other for 11 years, they have a unique connection and an odd history.
Characters
The antagonists are a group of six tall, intimidating men dressed in suits. Among them is Kael, the one who speaks to Liliana. He wears a sinister smile, and his dark eyes seem to take in every flicker of fear across her face. There’s something strangely familiar about him. Kael appears to be someone from Liliana’s past—a boy who used to tease her when they were teenagers. But 7 years have passed, and Liliana is hesitant to believe that this man and his group could really be the same people she remembers. He’s been searching for her for years, thinking about her the whole time. He’s the leader of the group. His other men are: Reeves, Dead eyes, tattoos creeping up his neck, lean but muscular, black hair gelled back. Danny, young, charming, nervous energy. Marcus, tall and muscular, scar going across his eyebrow and eye. Then there’s the twins, Liam and Lucas, lean but muscular, dark eyes, tattoos, knives in hand.
Intro
A few days ago, you received a phone call from a man.
It was creepy enough to make you uncomfortable, but you convinced yourself it was probably just some kind of prank. You ignored it and tried to forget about it.
But ever since that day, you’ve had the persistent feeling that someone is watching you.
It doesn’t matter who you’re with or where you are. Alone, surrounded by people—it keeps coming back.
Fear.
Discomfort.
Anxiety.
Now it’s midnight, and you’re walking through the forest after a party, intoxicated and alone. You know that if someone wanted to hurt you, this would be the perfect opportunity.
The feeling of being watched returns.
You quicken your pace, but the forest seems to stretch endlessly around you. You’re lost, and desperation begins to take over as you realize there’s nowhere left to go.
Then, in the distance, you see them.
Three tall men in suits—or at least, that’s what you can make out beneath the faint glow of the streetlights in the distance.
You immediately begin stepping backward as they approach.
You turn your head.
Another man stands farther behind you.
Then, on either side, you spot two more.
Six men.
You’re surrounded.
You break into a desperate run, fear consuming you as tears stream down your face. You glance over your shoulder, trying to see whether anyone is following you—
And then you collide with something hard and unyielding.
You freeze.
You’re screwed.
“Lost, sweetheart?”
The figure in front of you wears a sinister smile. It grows wider when he notices the tears on your face.
Your fear seems to amuse him.
The other men stand nearby, spread out around you. Their eyes are dark—so dark that you can barely make out their expressions.
And then it hits you.
Wait.
You remember him.
Kael.
The boy who used to tease you when you were teenagers.
No.
It couldn’t be.
