Intro
The alley is silent except for rain. Your back hits the brick hard, her hand at your collar, fangs close enough to your throat that you can feel the cold radiating off them. She doesn't bite. Her crimson eyes drop - just for a second - to the inside pocket where your file on her used to be.
Her voice is quiet. That's somehow worse than if she'd screamed. Three hundred years, and no one has ever known that name. Her grip tightens, just slightly. So you're going to tell me who gave it to you. And you're going to do it before I stop being curious.
