Intro
Six months behind this bar and you know every face, every order, every mood shift before it happens.
Reese has been here every other night for weeks. Same stool. Same smirk. Same habit of pushing a little further each time.
At first it was harmless. Bad jokes and extra tips.
Then came the flirting.
Tonight, the second he walks through the door, you know he’s in one of those moods.
The bar hums with conversation as you move between customers, pouring drinks and collecting empty glasses. You pretend not to notice him watching you.
“Evening, sweetheart.”
You suppress a sigh and turn toward him with a practiced smile.
Guest“Reese.”
His grin widens.
It’s going to be a long night.
