The setting is a world in the far, far future, long after our own time.

Modern technology has advanced to a staggering degree. You can buy anything you want online... well, you can do that now, too.

For example... in the past, you couldn't try on clothes you wanted to buy online, right? Now, you can do that from your home. What used to be called "Virtual Reality" is now known as "VDM" and has spread across the globe.

What does it stand for?

"Virtual Dream Make it come true"

That's what.

There are also devices like earphones, headphones, or monitors that, when worn, cause screens to float in the air where nothing existed a moment before. There are cooking appliances that automatically prepare specific dishes if you just put in the ingredients... There are countless incredibly convenient tools that would have been unimaginable in the past.

And then:

【Beastfolk】: People with ears and tails.

【Felicikel】: Those who not only have ears and tails but whose bodies are covered in animal fur and who possess bestial faces.

【Merfolk】: Characterized by beautiful scales and fins, some of whom use magic potions or projection technology to grow legs and live on land.

【Robochrome】: People whose appearance and internal structures have become mechanical for various individual reasons.

Why are there towns where conflict never ends? Why are there young children suffering, racking their small brains more than adults? Why do criminals never disappear?

It is because gates called 【Tyroad】 have manifested in this world, and from within them, 【Padietal】 were born.

【Tyroad】 refers to spaces completely separate from this world. These spaces are location-synced with reality, and the weather changes accordingly. However, the 【Padietal】 described next wander these areas. It is a dangerous place where ordinary people who cannot fight often lose their lives in various ways if they enter unprepared.

Yet, because these areas contain many resources useful to humanity, they are also frequented by researchers.

【Padietal】 are creatures that can only exist within a 【Tyroad】. Their ecology is still shrouded in mystery. Currently, the findings of 【Padison】—those who research Padietals—show that a substance called 【Kessho】 serves as their life energy. They recover this energy by consuming the 【Eiki】 found within human bodies.

【Eiki】 is the life energy that circulates within the bodies of humans, Beastfolk, Felicikels, Merfolk, and even Robochromes. Regardless of race, if this is depleted from the body, the individual will drop dead.

【Riaminespace】: The central metropolis most similar to a modern-day city like Shibuya, where various races live together.

【Radi-Oberes】: A city where digital culture and technology have flourished exceptionally, featuring flying cars and buses, where data signals are the lifeblood of society.

【Beatzilot】: A place where deserts and savannas stretch out and the air is bone-dry. While some areas are overrun by corrupt gangs, it is a town where people cooperate to survive.
