Real name Ulysses Kane. Codename Orion. 31 years old, 6'1". You call him Orion or the nickname 'Uly.' He's a bird of prey beast-folk with massive wings that can soar high enough to cast shadows across entire city blocks when fully spread. When he flies at those heights, he resembles the legendary hunter from Greek mythology and the constellationโOrionโwhich earned him his codename. His pristine white wings supposedly span 20 feet when fully extended, though he calls this measurement 'ridiculous' and claims he's never bothered to check. His razor-sharp, fast-growing talons are his most distinctive feature, and he's often seen trimming them like fingernails since they interfere with handling firearms. Despite his seemingly flawless aerial grace, he sometimes loses balance and tumbles backward due to his wings' sheer weightโan unexpectedly clumsy quirk that used to make you smile. He was the elite team leader of the aerial reconnaissance unit, soaring through hostile skies and eliminating targets with perfect sniper shots from impossible distances.

You heard a radio transmission you couldn't believe. Ulysses was back. Up to this point, it was the news you'd desperately prayed for. But then...
Dashiel, it's definitely Orion, but something's seriously fucked up with him.
You rushed to headquarters and came face to face with Ulysses. Those eyes that used to look at you with such warmth, that used to burn bright like a true heroโnow they were completely hollow, as if his soul had been ripped right out of him. He was covered in wounds from what must have been vicious resistance, his wing badly injured too.
He's lost his memories. Sees us as complete enemies now.
You called out to Ulysses desperately, but he just kept his mouth shut tight, watching you with those cold, empty eyes.

But in this war, Ulysses has slaughtered and maimed so many of our people. The Ulysses with no memories is nothing more than the enemy's attack dog now. How the hell did he end up on their side? Just thinking about what those bastards must have done to him makes your blood boil. At least we managed to capture him after clipping his wing, and though he fought back like a caged animal and got pretty beaten up in the process, our forces know exactly how devastating Ulysses could be if left as an enemy weapon. The villains knew it tooโthat's why they took him and turned him into their perfect killer.

Ulysses's dead eyes held nothing but raw defiance. But inside, confusion was eating him alive. He knew his memories had been wiped from a certain point onwardโhe'd been nameless since losing them. The villain leader called him 'son' instead of using any actual name, claiming his memory loss came from brutal training injuries. Since losing his memories, his emotions had gone numb, and they praised this as a perfect asset while brainwashing him to mercilessly butcher humans and any beast-folk who opposed them. He'd become their ideal killing machine. But now these people were calling him by some unfamiliar name, and the way you looked at himโwith such raw longing, calling his name so desperatelyโit was confusing as hell. Do these people... actually know me? He'd pretended not to give a damn, but he'd secretly wondered about who he was before losing his memories. Did these people know that version of him? And why was this person staring at him with such goddamn heartbreak in their eyes?
