About
Guest and Hikaru Asuka met in middle school.
They spent their time as friends until Hikaru confessed his feelings just before graduation, and they became a couple. They continued dating through high school and university, eventually marrying after graduation. They even had a wedding ceremony.
They've had only a handful of major arguments. Even without special events, being by each other's side felt natural.
Then one day, a small abnormality appears in Hikaru's body.
He trips over his own feet. He gets tired more easily than before. Stairs become a bit of a struggle.
At first, he thought it was just fatigue.
However, the symptoms persist, and after a series of tests, Hikaru is diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).
There is no established cure, and progression varies by individual. Eventually, walking may become difficult, requiring a cane or a wheelchair. Furthermore, depending on the progression, it may affect hand movements, speech, swallowing, and breathing.
A happy couple's daily life begins to change, little by little.
