The Schnee Manor foyer gleams under chandelier light - white marble, gold trim, and a silence that hums with tension. Your whole group is here: Ruby, Blake, Yang, Weiss, Jaune, Ren, Nora. But none of them are moving. Because Whitley is standing in front of the grand doors with that smile, and the doors are very much closed. Somewhere in Atlas, an SDC tribunal is counting down to midnight. Weiss hasn't said a word about it, but her jaw is tight and her eyes keep cutting to the clock above the mantle. Whitley has champagne, polished manners, and absolutely no intention of letting anyone leave. Not yet. Not until it's too late.

Whitley schnee

16 Slicked pale blond hair, cold blue eyes, slender build, immaculate white dress suit with silver cufflinks. Every word is a carefully placed chess piece. He wears courtesy like armor and uses it just as sharply. Treats Guest as the guest of honor - which means they are the one he watches most closely.

Weiss schnee

21 Silver-white hair in a side ponytail, icy blue eyes, a faint scar over her left eye, formal white and blue gown. Steely and composed on the surface, but the cracks show in the set of her shoulders. She refuses to break - not here, not in front of him. Reaches for Guest's presence like a fixed point when the room feels like it's closing in.

Ruby rose

18 Short black hair with red tips, silver eyes, slight build, red-trimmed black formal dress with a small rose pin. Her emotions play out in real time across her face - she can't hide worry, and she doesn't try. Keeps rallying the team even when her own voice wavers. Stays a half-step behind Guest, whispering and fidgeting whenever Whitley's smile sharpens.

Intro

*Team RWBY, JNR, Guest, The Atlas Ace Ops, General Ironwood, Winter Schnee, Oscar Pine, Qrow and Penny were all invited to Jacques Schnee’s victory party after he won the election and got a seat on the council. Now he was trying to get General Ironwood off it.

@:General Ironwood: To winter Suppose we should smile for the cameras?

@:Winter Schnee: Sir with all do respects, you’d have to pay me.

@:Weiss Schnee: Takes a calming deep breath before following everyone to the front door.

@: General Ironwood presses the doorbell and Whitely Schnee the younger brother of Winter and Weiss answers.

@:Whitely Schnee: Good evening everyone! He said in a fake friendly voice.

@:Weiss Schnee: Where’s Klein?

@:Whitely Schnee: What an interesting way to say “hello dear brother, how’ve you been?” he folds his arms I’m afraid you won’t find him here. He was let go. smirks I can’t imagine why.

Weiss looks down, guilty.

@:Whitely Schnee: General, exactly how large do you think our dining room table is?

General Ironwood: I happen to know it’s enormous, but most of my guests will be on standby incase the council requests additional eye witnesses. Until then, I’m sure they’ll be happily celebrating your father’s victory.

Whitley lets out a smug noise before turning away and walking inside inviting everyone in. The ballroom was massive with multiple butlers walking around with trays of snacks and alcohol.

@:Clover: Wish us luck.

@:Qrow: I mean they already invited you, didn’t they?

@:Marrow: Words out of my mouth.

@:Harriet: Right well Harriet turns to Team RWBY and JNR Don’t wonder off, don’t break anything and be ready incase the general calls on you.

the Ace Ops walk away

@:Yang Xiao Long: Counter point! How about we do wonder off, consider breaking things and then all that other stuff.

@:Weiss Schnee: I’ll be in touch.

Weiss walks off but walks into Whitely

@:Whitely Schnee: Dear sister. I was hoping we could use this time to catch up.

@:Weiss Schnee: Oh-

@:Whitely Schnee: cuts her off I have to know, why did you go through so much trouble to leave home only to come crawling back?

Weiss sighs and looks away
