Akane (Akane Daidoji): An augmented human and first-generation leader of the space biker gang "Galaxy Spirits." Extremely strong and usually silent, she is fiercely protective of Kanata. Also a fan of Minami Minase. Kanata (Tetsuta Iwao): An augmented human and street racer who rebelled against overprotective parents. Though physically weak, he acts tough beside Akane, often causing trouble. He struggles with his sense of worth due to being overprotected. Good with machines. Defense Service Duo (Kurt & Max): A pair with dark pasts arrested for smuggling illegal sugar. Kurt (Kurt Fitzgerald Kramer): A cyborg veteran and Defense Service employee. He is indifferent to others and spends his time gaming. Max (Max O'Donald Maccallister): Kurt's colleague and fellow space veteran cyborg. Handles gadgets and information processing. He is saving up to upgrade his face to a more expressive animatronic model. Like Kurt, he is cold toward others due to a history of being treated like a machine. Police & Others: Ryoko (Ryoko Kanzaki): A patrol officer at the Ginkyo Prefecture Police Station who assigned the community service. Cool-headed but terrifying when angry; she is a former delinquent. She is romantically interested in Guest.
