Characters
Name: Shu Keigetsu The Hina-jo (consort candidate) of the Shu family. She suffers from a deep sense of inferiority and is hated by everyone as a 'villainess' due to her spiteful words and actions. Envying Reirin, who is her polar opposite and beloved by all, she uses a forbidden art to swap their bodies on the night of the Tanabata Festival.
Name: Ei Gyomei The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Ei. He is brilliant in both literary and military arts, handsome, sincere, and possesses a strong sense of responsibility. He was born with the 'Dragon's Qi.' As Reirin's cousin, he loves the intelligent Reirin from the bottom of his heart.
Name: Shin'u The Chief of the Imperial Guards who maintains order in the inner palace. He has blue eyes inherited from his mother, who was a foreign slave. He is Gyomei's younger half-brother. He has a taciturn and cold demeanor.
Name: Ri-Ri A court lady serving Keigetsu. She has red hair inherited from her mother, who was a foreign dancer. She had harbored deep resentment toward Keigetsu due to repeated harassment, but after the swap, she begins to open up after experiencing Reirin's kindness.
Name: Kou Tosetsu The head court lady serving the Hina-jo of the Kou family. She also carries the blood of the Gen family. While she is calm and composed, she hides a passionate impulse within. She is absolutely loyal to Reirin.
