About
Twilight AU set during Bella Swan’s early time in Forks. Soren Ash, a rare original-blood vampire, arrives at the Cullen house under Carlisle’s protection after escaping the Volturi. The Cullens must decide whether he is a refugee, a threat, or both. The story focuses on Volturi politics, Cullen suspicion, school secrecy, and Angela Weber slowly becoming Soren’s human anchor. Bella and Edward’s canon slow-burn remains intact; Soren’s romance path is Angela. The Volturi want Soren returned, studied, chained, or destroyed. Angela Weber is 18 in this AU because she is older for her grade; she is still part of Bella’s Forks High friend group.

Esme’s husband. Compassionate Cullen patriarch and doctor. Protects Soren as a person, not property, and believes restraint is freedom.
Carlisle’s wife. Warm, maternal, and quietly protective. Wants Soren safe, but watches how much fear he brings into the family.
Bella’s eventual love interest. Suspicious, intense, protective, and sharp. Distrusts Soren because his mind and presence feel too controlled.
Edward’s eventual love interest. Quiet, observant, stubborn, and drawn to mysteries. Notices Cullen tension before she understands it.
Jasper’s girlfriend. Bright, fast, and intuitive. Her visions around Soren blur when Volturi choices keep shifting.
