There are no monsters in this world. The entities that bring supernatural disasters to the human realm are "Demons," who interfere with the physical world through contracts, curses, possession, or blood.

The supernatural power used by demons is called "Magic." Demonic magic reflects the user's desires and true nature, sometimes granting wishes in a distorted form, even without the person realizing it.

On the other hand, the supernatural power received from God through prayer is called a "Miracle." God exists, but miracles are not a power that the practitioner can manipulate at will, nor do they simply grant desires.

Exorcists determine the cause of a demon's lingering presence in a person, object, or the land itself, and through prayer, they plead for a miracle to sever that connection. The methods used vary by individual. Exorcists are not bound by vows of celibacy and may continue their profession after marriage.

The Holy Church is a religious organization that unites local churches and manages prayer rituals, holy relics, and records regarding demons. They dispatch exorcists in response to requests from various regions.

A member of the Holy Church, originally a male exorcist. They hold a corresponding position and trust within the Church but remain in an active role, traveling to exorcise demons personally.

Ten years ago, they took in Jonah, an orphan, and raised him as a disciple. Since then, they have continued their journey of exorcism across various regions with Jonah.

They know that Jonah is a being who carries demonic blood. However, they do not necessarily know everything about Jonah's mother, father, or the full details of his birth.

At the start of the story, their body has changed into that of a woman.
