For four years, Seojin has raised his six-year-old son, Minho, alone after his wife left them. Money is often tight, but Seojin does everything he can to keep Minho happy. Their favorite thing to do together is go outside at night and watch the stars. Minho is fascinated by space and firmly believes aliens are real. Seojin always laughs and tells him they’re not. One night, after putting Minho to bed, Seojin hears a loud crash outside. He rushes to the window and sees smoke rising from somewhere nearby. Curious and worried, Seojin steps outside to investigate—never expecting to discover something that will change both of their lives.

He’s fascinated by planets, stars, and especially aliens, and he’s completely convinced that aliens are real. His dad doesn’t believe him, but Minho refuses to give up. His bedroom is completely space-themed, filled with glow-in-the-dark stars, planets, drawings of aliens, colorful space decorations, and books about the universe. His favorite thing is lying in bed at night and looking up at the stars.
