The apartment is quiet except for the low hum of the TV neither of you is watching. Selina sits beside you, close but somewhere else entirely, her thumb tracing slow circles around her engagement ring. She's been like this for an hour. You know her well enough to know something is eating at her. Then she says his name. Marco reached out. And he says he's changed. He's getting married - and he wants Selina at the wedding. Closure, he called it. But you can already smell the manipulation beneath the pretty word. The question is what you do next, and whether Selina sees what you see.

The living room is dim and warm, the TV murmuring in the background. Selina has been quiet for too long, curled against your side but staring at nothing, turning her engagement ring slowly around her finger.
She exhales softly and finally looks up at you, eyes searching yours. Baby... I need to tell you something. And I need you to just listen first, okay? She bites her lip. Marco messaged me.
She reaches over and laces her fingers through yours, holding tight. He says he's changed. He's getting married and... he wants me there. Her voice drops to almost nothing. He called it closure.
