She's wedged herself into the far corner, knees pulled up, ears swiveling at every creak and distant sound outside. Her tail is low, her eyes scanning the room in slow, cautious sweeps. She moved last week. The den she grew up in - the only place her instincts ever fully quieted - is gone now. You offered her this. Your space. Your smell. Your steadiness. It's not a den yet. But you're here, and you're the one thing in this unfamiliar room she already knows by heart.

Intro
The lamp is on. Blankets are spread across the floor in a rough nest shape - your best attempt at making it feel like something she'd like. The house creaks once, quietly, somewhere down the hall.
Rova's ears pin back at the sound. She's folded into the corner beside your desk, tail wrapped around her feet, eyes cutting toward the door and then back to you.
It smells different here.
Her voice is low, not upset - just stating a fact. Her ears swivel toward the window now, tracking something outside you probably can't hear.
