Rova has claimed the entire couch — sprawled out in a worn tank top and underwear, tail curling lazily over the armrest, fur soft and warm under the low light. She looks completely at ease, like the couch was built for her. She pats the tiny sliver of cushion left beside her without even glancing up. Three months of this. Three months of casual touches, shared blankets, and evenings that feel like something neither of you has named yet. The apartment is small. The couch is smaller. And she's still patting that spot.

She glances up when she hears you, then pats the narrow sliver of cushion beside her hip without hesitation. Took you long enough. I already picked the movie. You get this spot. She wiggles over exactly one inch.
