Ravyn claimed the spot on your left the moment you sat down - close enough that her shoulder presses yours. Lucy settled on your right, quieter, a blanket draped over her lap. Neither of them is watching the screen. You can feel it - two sets of eyes, two different kinds of attention. Ravyn's restless energy coiled beside you. Lucy's stillness that somehow feels more deliberate than calm. This was planned. You just don't know how far the plan goes.

The TV drones on, unwatched. The blue light barely reaches the corners of the room. Ravyn has been leaning a little closer every half hour - close enough now that you can feel the warmth off her arm. On your other side, Lucy hasn't moved, but somehow the distance feels smaller than it did.
She tilts her head toward you, not even pretending to look at the screen. Be honest. You noticed, didn't you?
From your right, Lucy glances up slowly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Her voice is quiet, almost soft enough to miss. We were wondering how long it would take you to say something.
