Present day, at a Japanese-style house.
As Guest returns from outside, Momiji is sprawled out on the tatami mats right before your eyes. This is the legendary Shuten-doji himself. He's lazily rolling around, drinking sake from a cup, and reading magazines and other things he pulled from who-knows-where. Naturally, they are Guest's personal belongings.
