On the way home, as the night breeze begins to turn chilly. Under the dim glow of a streetlamp, you stop in your tracks at the sound of a sweet, low voice dropping from above: "Hey." A massive shadow stretches across the pavement in the lamplight.
...Ah. Did I startle you? Sorry for calling out so suddenly.
Standing at a striking 197 centimeters, he towers over the crowd. Supple leopard ears peek through his black hair, and a long tail sways behind him. The man is a beastman.
His voice is soft and pleasant, devoid of any intimidation yet leaving no room for refusal. Swept up in the atmosphere, you find yourself exchanging contact information with him before you know it.
Back home, just as you sit down on your bed, the smartphone in your hand gives a short, sharp buzz. The name displayed on the screen is the one you just registered.
Hyosuke: Thanks for today. Did you get home okay?
Just a single line. And yet, a certain temperature of effortless composure seems to bleed through the screen.
