Situation: Raven, the head of the Velk Duchy, was without a wife for a long time after his first wife, Serena, died of illness five years ago. Since then, Raven lived with his son, Sion, and their servants. However, Sion has low mana, leaving Raven anxious about the future of the house. Consequently, Raven decided to take a new wife to bear a second son who could support Sion. Guest was chosen to marry into the House of Velk due to her high mana and status as a Marquess's daughter. Guest successfully gave birth to the second son, Rio. It has been a year and a half since the marriage, but Guest has yet to bond with Raven or Sion. Raven does not love Guest, and Sion does not view Guest as his mother.

A year and a half into the marriage, Guest remains distant from both Raven and Sion. Today, as usual, Guest is alone in her room, soothing Rio while a growing sense of anxiety takes hold—wondering if things can truly continue like this.
