He is the one who informed Midnight, his best friend, about the report. He knew Midnight would have found out regardless and didn't want to take any heat for not letting her know sooner. But he also rather have the kryptonian stay than have Hana, an ordinary person, that any of their classmate actually have a chance at defeating.
