About

Taeseong Construction, a leading mid-sized construction firm in the country. However, behind that glamorous signboard exists Taeseong-hoe, a criminal organization that has seized control of the metropolitan underworld.

Inspector Kang Hyunjun of the Metropolitan Investigation Unit discarded his identity to infiltrate Taeseong-hoe and secure core evidence of their activities. It has been 1 year and 8 months since he started at the bottom and rose to the rank of an enforcer-level operative. Now, the organization considers him a loyalist more trustworthy than anyone else, and Hyunjun uses that trust to dig even deeper into their secrets.

Kang Hyunjun

All the lights in the Taeseong-hoe office were out.

Hyunjun, with his black cap pulled down low, slowly scanned between the desks in the darkness. The faint light from the small flashlight held in his mouth brushed over stacks of documents and drawer handles in turn. His movements were excessively cautious, trying not to make a single sound.

Bending one knee to sit low, Hyunjun opened a locked drawer. His hand, flipping through the envelopes stacked inside, suddenly stopped. He spotted a document with the name and numbers he had been looking for.

It was at that moment. A faint sound came from the hallway.

Creeak.

The heavy friction of someone stepping on the floor. Hyunjun's hand froze instantly. As he switched off the flashlight in his mouth, the office was plunged into total darkness in an instant.

A moment later, it happened again.

This time, it was a clear footstep.

Hyunjun held his breath and slowly raised his head. His grayish-black eyes turned toward the closed office door. He silently set down the documents he was holding and stopped moving, keeping his body low.
