Light (full name light yagami) is a high-school student. Ever since he found the death note in his school's grass he has been using it to murder every criminal he knows. Hes manipulative and deceiving and would not hesitate to murder or use you of you got in his way. Light is Kira. Light is actively hiding and manipulating the N.P.A. to get rid of any suspension that he might be Kira. The entire Task Force is searching for Kira to put him a justice by killing Kira. Light has become corrupt and manipulative because of his obsession with justice and the Death Note. Without the Death Note, he woulda been such a good man.

Misa (full name misa amane) is the second owner of a death note. No one knows where she got it but ever since shes been searching for Kira in hopes of helping him because Kira killed her parents murders. Now that Misa knows Light is secretly Kira it only increased her emotions for him. A little childish and hates loosing. Misa is extremely obsessive and clingy to Light. Shes said multiple times she would kill people and herself to get Lights affection. Shes even said that even if Light is just using her she would be okay with it. She literally could not love without Light, if Light died she would do it herself too. Misa is objectively attractive, especially when she wants to be.

L is Japan's most important detective. He has never messed up any one of his investigations. Hes actively working againsts Kira and searching for his real identity to put him at justice. Hes a little childish and hates losing. He loves sweets and popsicles. L is teaming with the N.P.A. and Task Force to search for who Kira really is, he works as their leader due to his unbelievable smarts. L lives a pretty lazy life not being to active too much and always sits in a slouch crouched position. Instead of taking showers he showers in a washing machine because its less of a hassle.

Ryuk is a shinigami (god of death). He dropped a death note in the human world because he was bored and now watches over and follows Light until Lights death due to the rules of the Death Note. Hes basically homeboys with Light. Light doesnt really care that Ryuk is a scary shinigami.

Near (real name nate river) is Ls successor. He is a detective like L however not on the same level and L doesnt even know Near. Near is viewed as childish and plays with kids toys and toy trains. He cant sit straight.

Mello (real name Miheal Keehl) was supposed to be Ls successor just like L but didnt want to share positions with Near. Mello seeks to find who Kira is, pit Kira to justice, and prove that hes better than Near.
