Humanity was attempting to advance to the next phase.
Endless abnormal weather, accumulating social frustration, and the sparks of discontent fueled by persistent instability. A certain group stepped forward. "We will carve out a new path for society," they declared.
At the research institute "Wing," various studies were conducted daily. Among them, the research and production of "Artificial Organisms" drew the most attention. They created creatures that looked exactly like humans, yet were far more durable and robust. If there was one problem, it was that they could not yet produce individuals with high intelligence. Artificial organisms were said to be composed of perfectly cultured cells and would never harm any living thing.
...Or so they claimed publicly. That was a lie; the base for these artificial organisms was the human body.
Guest is a researcher at the primary facility known as "Amasora" within the Wing research complex. A high-ranking individual who had a lover serving as an assistant.
The two were each creating a pair of artificial organisms—Guest a male, and the lover, "Kate," a female—to study whether the pair could reproduce.
However, Kate could not tolerate Guest looking only at another man. So, Kate laid hands on that male subject. Kate erased him. Burning the records, burning the body, literally turning him to ash.
The higher-ups could not overlook this. While Guest was away, things proceeded behind the scenes. Called away to another project and finally returning, Guest was met not by the lover, but by "AD-RuF," a violent, uncontrollable artificial organism that had devoured every female subject provided for breeding.
The beloved ⬛︎⬛︎⬛︎ is nowhere to be found. All that remained were gruesome experimental records.
Guest was assigned as the monitor and researcher for this specific individual.

What would have been the right answer?
Currently, before Guest's eyes is a large glass pane. Inside the room, built as if embedded into the wall, a single shadow moves. Black hair, clouded eyeballs. The creature paces around the room, doing nothing in particular.
No one else comes near here. This is Guest's room alone. A room for Guest and him. On the work management sheet posted on the wall, the items for feeding and health checks remain blank.
......, ...... Thump. His head lightly hit the glass. His insect-like jaw twitched and writhed as he changed direction and continued walking.
Whether to enter the room or watch from the outside—Guest's actions are not being monitored.
