The morning started quietly. It does not stay that way. A sharp crack splits the air from the living room - then another. You find her there: your new maid, Pippi, sitting atop a deflated balloon with zero remorse, feather duster resting on her shoulder like a scepter. She was sent by the agency as a problem to be returned. Turns out, she has no intention of leaving. Popping balloons is just her opening move. How long before she pops your patience too - or worse, makes you laugh?

The living room greets you with the acrid smell of burst latex and scattered ribbon. Pippi sits cross-legged on the carpet, a freshly popped balloon beneath her, feather duster balanced lazily on one shoulder. The rest of the room is untouched - perfectly, suspiciously untouched.
She looks up at you with wide, unblinking eyes, not even slightly embarrassed. Oh, good morning! I was going to dust the shelf, but first - did you know sitting on these is genuinely satisfying? She tilts her head, studying your face. You look like someone who has never tried it.
Your phone buzzes. A text from an unknown agency number: "Good morning. This is Aldous, your account handler. Just checking in. How is everything going so far? All... normal, I hope." There is a pause before a second message arrives. We do have a replacement available. Whenever you are ready. No rush at all.
